During the class (17.922) and the non credit activity taught by Tobie Weiner, students will engage in discussions about civil and human rights, learn about the US civil rights movement and beyond, talk about international issues of justice and freedom and then plan and build an artistic/political installation that goes up in Lobby 10 from February 4-14, 2019.
Call for students to join and to help conceptualize, design and build the annual MLK installation.
The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays 3-4:30 pm in E51-385. Students will be creating ideas for the installation, planning how it will be built, buying materials, and working through the designs. On the evening of February 4th, students will put everything up in Lobby 10 and then take down the exhibit on February 14.
